Speaker: Prof. Ben LOWE, Professor of Marketing, Kent Business School, University of Kent, UK

Dr. Ben Lowe is a Professor of Marketing at Kent Business School, University of Kent. He is currently an Associate Editor at the European Journal of Marketing, the Journal of Advertising Research and the International Journal of Bank Marketing. His research is based around consumer behaviour and he has interests in innovation adoption, pricing, sustainable consumption and the use of technology as a decision aid. He has published on these topics in a number of journals and won awards for his research, teaching and service to the community.

 

Speaker: Chi Sing LEUNG (Rudi), Founder & Director, Hungry Digital Limited, Hong Kong

A musician turned adman, Rudi embarked on his advertising journey as a copywriter over 30 years ago. Throughout his career, he has held management positions at various international ad agencies, such as Ogilvy, Leo Burnett, Bates, TBWA\HK, Carat, AGENDA/Wunderman, and DDB Tribal, serving as a Creative Director, Strategy/Digital Director, Vice President, and General Manager. Notably, he was the digital chairman of HK4As from 2012-2014 and was recognized as the Digital Marketer Of The Year by the HKAIM Media Convergence Awards in 2014. In 2016, Rudi founded his creative agency, Hungry Digital.

About the workshop:

This workshop is intended to let participants apply hands-on experiences with immersive technology to rethink the effectiveness of digital engagement in existing advertising practices. It will discuss the growing concern of experiential technologies and others in recent challenging areas of advertising.

Hands-on practice of an immersive tech game designed by the project team (Language: Cantonese, supplemented with English)
